Wow ! what a show , I’m still buzzing …… !
I seriously think that is the most proud I’ve been of our students .
We’ve been working very hard on creating an ensemble piece and instilling the fact that every person on stage is important and can add or take away from the performance .
Only when every person on stage is in role and a 100 % committed to the part they’re playing, can the magic really begin to happen .
It ‘s a very professional way of working and a lot to ask from our younger students, but they DID IT.. !!!
I’m overwhelmed by the feed- back not only from parents, but from audience members : I’ve had a couple of lovely emails and strangely enough around 20 people from my village went, not knowing me or my students were in the show ! Everytime I leave my house I am stopped by people raving about our students !! It’s just wonderful , they really have done us so proud !
Not only did they completely shine on stage , they behaved so well in the audience and I hear older students were running up and down the Minack stairs looking after younger performers ( not an easy feat , i can tell you , my thighs still ache !! ) .
I’m just glowing with pride for my school : )
Hugh Thanks need to go to the ridiculously talented Emily Faulkner , who continues to be a massive inspiration to our students, she is a big reason why they performed so well on Sunday : )
Falmouth teacher Stephen Anguish for training up our Falmouth crew with style .
MD: Don Deacon for making us the fabulous backing track for “Girlfriends”
Everyone who chaperoned on the day : Thank you so much , your help is really appreciated.
I hope you’re all feeling as proud of your children as I am , they did good on and off stage : )
Next Stop: Hall for Cornwall : well after : Trinity Exams , Royal Cornwall Show , Tretherras show and JTPA show …. !!! : ) xx
What a fabulous Easter Workshop led by Anneka Wass of the Three Belles and Matilda James pro actress and vocalist .
Approx 25 students took part and from the feed back had a ball !!
It was such a treat to go away and come back for the performance of “We’ll Meet Again” , I loved it .
Anneka and Matilda fed back that our students were not only super quick at picking everything up, but a delight to work with . So once again they have made me very proud.
I had lots of request for another holiday workshop with the girls , maybe in the Summer holidays ? Let me know if your interested ?
In the meanwhile check out the attached piccy of our students looking spiffing sporting 1940’s Victory rolls , get practicing.
